How do I join?

How do I join Liverpool LETS?

Everyone who approaches with goodwill is welcome.

In order to join Liverpool Lets you will need to do these six things:

1. Read through and make sure you understand to the Constitution now.

2. Read and make sure you understand the Members Agreement.

3. Fill in a copy of the Printed Membership Form. This is a legally binding agreement and is enforcable in law. Fill it in carefully. Alternatively access and complete our Online Form

4. Once your local Co-ordinator has received your printed or emailed form, s/he will contact you by phone and if possible arrange to meet up, and answer any queries you may have, and then liaise with the Administrator to create your member account on the system. You will then receive an email giving you an initial password, which you may change to something more memorable if you wish.

5. Once you have access to your account, please start by offering at least one skill in the Members' Directory. Think about what you love doing, not just what you do to earn money. The local currency economies are far more varied, creative and stress-free than conventional money. Have fun.

6. As soon as you can, please attend a New Members Meeting. We ask everyone who would like to join to attend a New Members' Meeting, so that we can meet you, give you the opportunity to meet other members, explain how we run Liverpool LETS, and give you the opportunity to ask any further questions that you might have about the scheme.

Currently the scheme is free to all students and the unemployed. All other potential members are asked to contribute a small fee to help meet ongoing costs of running the community. This is currently a one off fee of £4 to £8 for the life of the membership.
